Whole Home Remodel
in Kent

Outdated and Choppy to Light and Open

This house required a complete remodel before the new owners moved in.  The major items that needed to be addressed included an awkward, outdated kitchen, three unfortunate bathrooms, dirty/worn floors and finishes, and a second-story deck that was unsafe.  Non-load-bearing walls between the kitchen, living room, and dining area were removed to create an open space and a more open feel.  The house was kept light and bright, with white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, and a walnut butcher block on the island.
Highlights:
  • New kitchen layout to increase storage, create cooking zones, and open the space
  • New kitchen cabinetry in a white shaker door style and a walnut island countertop
  • Quartz perimeter countertops, new appliances, updated layered lighting
  • Electrical & plumbing updated
  • New second-story deck and concrete patio space underneath

When A Home Needs Some Major Help

This home had extensive pet damage to floors/walls/trim, an overwhelming smell that permeated every space, and a general lack of maintenance and repairs through the years.

1.

UNSAFE AND DIRTY FINISHES
All the finishes of this home had to be replaced and/or thoroughly sanitized because of the unhealthy conditions created by lack of cleaning and pet matter.

2.

AWKWARD KITCHEN LAYOUT
The current kitchen layout was cramped and cut off from the main living space of the house, leaving wasted space and an awkward flow.

3.

A CRUMBLING DECK
The second-story deck was rotting and unsafe for use for new owners.

4.

EXTERIOR DISASTER
Overgrown blackberry bushes, fallen perimeter fencing, and unmaintained mature trees made the backyard inaccessible and unusable.

Our Approach...

From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, we dissect, plan, and guide every step of the remodeling process. Our design-build approach handles it all—concept development, drawings and renderings, detailed budgets, and a clearly outlined scope of work—so there are no surprises along the way. Once construction begins, we manage every detail, coordinating trades, materials, and finishes to ensure the project is completed with care, quality, and attention to detail.

The Transformation

Clean & Safe

All the walls, floors, ceilings, and surfaces of this home were replaced or sanitized for the safety and long-term ease of cleaning and maintenance for the new owners.

Open Layout

The kitchen and bathrooms were completely gutted and are now the home's design highlights. The kitchen is open and feels a natural extension of the living/dining areas.

Exterior Excellence

The home itself got a new facelift with paint, doors, and front yard landscaping, while the backyard was completely transformed into a usable and massive space of grass, deck, patio, and firepit area.
